Why is it that when a possible conspiracy theory is acknowledged concerning subjects such as radical islamist groups, aggressive extremist groups, National Security and the Presidentcy of the United States, that no proper investigation is the proper course of action but to eliminate the speaker or witness and their testimony? But instead, People For The American Way would prefer to proclaim her testimony to be baseless or inflammatory accusations. And petition John Boehner, Speaker of the House of Representatives in the U.S. House of Representatives to remove her from office.
Rep. Michele Bachmann has all-too-often voiced dangerous conspiracy theories claiming that the Obama administration is "aiding and abetting" radical Islamist groups. While Bachmann was roundly mocked and criticized for the baseless remarks, they were a hit in conspiratorial right-wing circles.
Members of the House Intelligence Committee are entrusted with classified information that affects the safety and security of all Americans. That information should not be in the hands of anyone with such a disregard for honesty, misunderstanding of national security, and lack of respect for his or her fellow public servants.
Bachmann's false and irresponsible attacks have gone too far even for her fellow Republicans and it is time she is removed from the House Intelligence Committee. This isn’t a Democrat vs. Republican issue. It's about defending all of our values.

As a sitting member of the House Select Committee on Intelligence, Rep. Michele Bachmann has a security clearance. Through her long record of inflammatory accusations against Americans based on race, religion, ethnicity, or alleged questionable associations with non-existent 'enemies,' she has demonstrated an obscene lack of maturity, knowledge of the law, understanding of the US Constitution and Bill of Rights, and of rational thought.
Rep. Bachmann has recently made baseless accusations in a Joseph McCarthy-esque style about an infestation of our government by the Muslim Brotherhood. She has accused Huma Abedin, Deputy Chief of Staff to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton (and wife of former New York Congressman Anthony Weiner), and her family, who are Muslims, of having ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. Michele Bachmann shouldn't be allowed to represent the state of Minnesota with her false, hateful and dangerous accusations towards other Politicans and Public Servants of our Government. All bodies of government in Minnesota needs to demand Ms. Bachmann to resign her seat in congress as a representative. Michelle Bachmann is dipping into the familiar well of witch hunt and Islamophobia. Bachmann is engaging in a global, fantasy-ridden witch hunt that is rooted in her own religous extremism and bigotry similar to the communist witch hunt of Joe McCarthy in the 1950's.
We as Americans no matter what our religious backgrounds may be deserve better than this in our Congressional leaders, and should insist on something more noble than witch hunts based on lies and guilt by association or mere accusations without a shred of evidence. As a Mulim American and a veteran I am outraged. Even Senator McCain got up on the floor of the U.S.Senate and criticcize Michle Bachman's behavior in this matter. McCain said;
“Ultimately, what is at stake in this matter is larger even than the reputation of one person. This is about who we are as a nation, and who we still aspire to be. What makes America exceptional among the countries of the world is that we are bound together as citizens not by blood or class, not by sect or ethnicity, but by a set of enduring, universal, and equal rights that are the foundation of our constitution, our laws, our citizenry, and our identity. When anyone, not least a member of Congress, launches specious and degrading attacks against fellow Americans on the basis of nothing more than fear of who they are and ignorance of what they stand for, it defames the spirit of our nation, and we all grow poorer because of it."
Given that we in this petition are demanding that the Speaker of the House, Rep. John Boehner censure Congresswoman Michele Bachman in the House of Representatives fo unethical and openly bigoted behavior towards Muslim Americans in violation of her sworn oath to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States.
